All of the herbs, plant material, oils and other ingredients that we use in our products are sourced from local and regional suppliers who support ecological and environmental responsibility, both in the selection of ingredients from renewable and natural sources and in the preserving of those natural habitats from which they come. They support wild harvesting and organic farming methods without the use of pesticides and fertilizers. They are involved in recycling, in renewable energy programs, sustainable business practices and are involved in protecting and preserving the Earth. We believe that the good deeds they perform and the positive energy that they generate in their dedication to these practices flows through our products as well.
CLOVE BUD ESSENTIAL OIL -- Clove is an evergreen tree believed to be indigenous to Indonesia, but now cultivated world-wide. It grows up to 40 feet high and has rosy-pink flowers. The dried calyx, commonly called clove bud, is steam distilled to yield the essential oil, which contains the plant's concentrated healing properties. Clove bud has been cultivated all over the world for 2,000 years. It is used extensively in Chinese medicine as a natural anesthetic to dull pain. Used topically, it assists with detoxification of the tissues through lymph drainage and stimulation of the entire circulatory system.
SWEET BIRCH ESSENTIAL OIL -- Birch is a tree largely grown in North America. The bark was used historically by North American native peoples as a tonic to induce sweating. It is effective in the relief of sore muscles and sprains. It has anti-inflammatory properties and is soothing to painful joints.
CINNAMON LEAF ESSENTIAL OIL -- The leaves of a plant grown largely in Sri Lanka, Madagascar and India, cinnamon leaf's medicinal uses include analgesic- to relieve pain, and anti-inflammatory to benefit arthritis, bruises, rheumatism, arthritis, sore muscles and to increase circulation in the tissues.
PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL -- Peppermint is a common herb well-known for its analgesic effects in muscle and nerve pain. Topically, it is used for its anesthetic effects.
CLARY SAGE ESSENTIAL OIL -- An herb believed to be native to Europe, clary sage has been known for its ability to ease pain and sore muscles as well as reduce spasms and muscle cramps.
VITAMIN E OIL -- Vitamin E is well-known for its anti-oxidant properties and is used as a natural preservative to help sustain shelf life in natural products.
LEMONGRASS ESSENTIAL OIL -- An aromatic herb native to India and tropical Asia, lemongrass grows in clusters with lemon-scented linear leaves growing up to 3 feet tall. In addition to being widely used in cooking, it has many healing properties that include antiseptic, antioxidant, antifungal, preservative and deodorant. It is used for acne, athlete’s foot, scabies, muscle aches and arthritis. It is used as a tea to treat digestive disturbances. As an aromatherapy agent, its essential oil is used to re-energize the body and helps it to recover after illness by invigorating the glandular and digestive systems. It is used to ease muscle pain and cramps and aids in removing lactic acid by increasing circulation.
